What a free seat is

A free seat pays the £9.99 seat fee for one Thursday dinner. It does not pay for food or drinks: everyone pays the restaurant for their own. We use a free seat automatically the next time you book, so we do not charge your card. If you have Siena Premium, Premium pays for your seats first and your free seats wait for later.

What your friend gets

When a friend creates a new Siena account with your link, they get one free seat. It pays for the first Thursday they book.

What you get

• One free seat for every friend who comes. You get it when your friend comes to their first dinner: they were seated at a table, we booked the restaurant, and the dinner date has passed. Signing up or booking alone does not count.
• No minimum. Your first friend who comes earns you a seat.
• 3 months of Siena Premium at 5. When 5 friends you invited have come to dinner, you get 3 months of Premium, once per account. It includes every Thursday, ends after 3 months, does not renew, and we never charge you for it.
• We email you when a friend has come and the free seat is in your account.

Limits

• New members only. Your friend must be new to Siena: no earlier account and no earlier booking.
• One person, one account. You cannot invite yourself. Accounts with the same email address count as the same person.
• One invite per friend. The first link your friend signs up with is the one that counts.
• Up to 10 free seats a month from invites, per calendar month, London time. A friend who comes after that still counts towards Premium.
• Free seats do not expire. They have no cash value, and you cannot sell them or move them to another account.
• Cancelling. If you cancel a seat that a free seat paid for, at least 24 hours before the dinner, the free seat comes back to your account.

Partner codes

Some organisations we work with share a Siena code with their members. A partner code gives someone new to Siena one free seat for their first Thursday. Each code works until its end date or until it has been used the number of times agreed with the partner. Nobody earns free seats from a partner code being used.

Some creators share a code in the same way. A creator code also gives someone new one free seat. The creator earns a commission on the seats that person buys by card in their first 90 days. Read more on our creators page.

Fair use and changes

Share your link with people you know. If we see invites that break these terms, for example made-up accounts, we can remove the free seats they earned. We may change or end the invite programme. If we do, free seats already in your account stay yours.
