Supper Clubs and Social Dining in London: 2026 Guide
London's social dining comes in three main types. Supper clubs are set-menu dinners run by a cook or a venue. The ones on this page charge about £22 to £130 a guest, and the meal is in the price. Dinner-with-strangers clubs, such as Siena, Timeleft and Savour Societies, seat you at a small table with people you have not met. You pay £5.50 to £15 for the seat or a monthly membership, then pay for your own food at the restaurant. Community suppers and communal tables sit in between, and one of them is free.
Pick a dinner-with-strangers club if your main goal is to make friends. Pick a supper club if your main goal is the food. You can go to either on your own.

Dinner-with-strangers clubs in London

Frequently asked questions
What is a supper club in London?
A supper club is a ticketed dinner with a set menu, hosted by a cook, a chef or a venue. Guests often sit at shared tables. In London they run in homes, cafes, restaurants and unusual spaces, such as a Victoria line train in Walthamstow. You book a seat in advance, and the meal is in the price.
How much does a supper club cost in London?
The London supper clubs we checked in October 2026 cost about £22 to £130 a guest, with the meal included. Community supper clubs cost the least, and Likewise's supper in Swiss Cottage is free. Chef-led tasting menus cost £67 to £130. Billetto's guide for hosts gives £55 to £145 as a typical UK ticket price.
What are the best supper clubs in London for meeting people?
Look for a shared table and guests who come alone. Supperclub Tube runs Come Solo nights with one 12-seat table for solo diners. The Clubhouse Supper Club in Putney and Borderless Bites near Old Street both welcome solo guests. If meeting people matters more than the menu, a dinner-with-strangers club such as Siena puts you at a small table of new people every week.
Can I go to a supper club on my own?
Yes. Many London supper clubs welcome solo guests, and some plan for them. Supperclub Tube keeps its Come Solo table for people who arrive alone. At dinner-with-strangers clubs such as Siena, Timeleft and Savour Societies, everyone books on their own, so nobody arrives as part of a group.
What is social dining?
Social dining means sharing a meal with people you do not know yet. In London it covers supper clubs, communal tables, community suppers and dinner clubs that match you with a small group. The aim is to make it easy to talk to new people over food.
What is the difference between a supper club and a dinner-with-strangers club?
A supper club sells a set menu, and the meal is in the ticket. A dinner-with-strangers club sells a seat at a small table of new people, and you pay for your own food at the restaurant. Supper clubs suit people who want a special meal. Dinner-with-strangers clubs suit people who want to make friends.
Are there free or cheap social dining options in London?
Yes. Likewise runs a free community supper club in Swiss Cottage on Wednesday evenings. Savour Societies seats start at £5.50, and you pay for what you order. Siena seats cost £12.99, with food paid at the restaurant.
How does Siena compare with Timeleft in London?
Both seat you with people you have not met at a London restaurant, and with both you pay for your own food. Siena runs one dinner every Thursday at 7:30pm for £12.99 a seat, with no membership needed. Timeleft runs dinners on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm and asks for a membership. Our Timeleft London review compares them in detail.
